Ziggy
Ziggy was surrendered to a local shelter underweight and with eyes so neglected and dried out he could no longer close them. We tried to medicate them into use, but they did not improve, so he had to have them both removed. He is now a happy, healthy, beautiful, loved pup in our fospice program.
His fospice mama adores him, and we adore her! His surgery costs were about $1000 and we also provide continued care. To donate to our fospice program, check out our donation page @ rrrrescue.org/donate
Special-needs dogs like a blind pup often adapt beautifully once they have a calm, predictable space and someone patient with them. For seniors in New Orleans assisted living, gentle visits from a well-adjusted foster dog might offer quiet companionship if the community welcomes animal guests.
