Thank you to everyone who stepped up to donate and volunteer for our Jordan’s Way Fundraiser!
We raised $6,200 that went directly towards paying off thousands in vet bills, restocking on every day supplies with bulk discounts, and pulling more dogs from euthanasia lists at overcrowded rural Louisiana shelters.
Now, this GiveNOLA Day, we’re ready to do more!
Every day, we’re getting messages about dogs in dire situations who need our help, and the only way we can help is with additional funds and fosters.
So this Give Nola Day, we are seeking to raise $5,000 for much awaited refurbishments to the Rolling River Ranch, which has housed hundreds of rescues. Improvements include upgrading fencing and fixing the barn roof in order to house nursing moms and young litters in a quiet, safe place.
Additionally, we’re looking for 5 new fosters to step in so we can pull more dogs from euthanasia lists immediately!
So please join us in this effort by donating by Tuesday, May 5th or sign up to foster ASAP! If you are a past foster, please just reach out to volunteer@rrrrescue.org to say you’re available, and list any restrictions you have!
Here are some of the big wins we’ve had since our fundraiser with Jordan’s Way:
We had 7 adoptions yesterday alone, and we’ve had 12 sleepovers and adoptions in just the two weeks since the fundraiser!
We also saved Josephine one day before she was scheduled to be euthanized at an overcrowded shelter! Welcome to Rrrrescue, Josephine!
If you’re not able to foster or donate at this time, another great way to get involved is through volunteering at our adoption events! We always need helpful volunteers to play with our dogs and interact with interested adopters throughout the day.
When? Every Saturday between 9:30am - 4:30pm
Where? Petsmart in Elmwood (1000 S. Clearview Pkwy, Suite 105, New Orleans, LA)
Requirements? If under the age of 16, you must be accompanied by an adult.
